Its cheaper to buy Chinese books in Taipei than in Singapore. I supposed most publishers for Chinese books are from Taipei and thus so. I don't know about English books 'coz I never bothered to find out.
I like to read but buying books is another matter 'coz there is always the tricky issue of storage space.
Tonight, I read Happy Birthday by Rene Liu. Its a short book so I managed to finish it at a go. Actually I was supposed to watch the movie but JJ gave me the voucher after the movie had stopped showing in cinemas, so I missed it.
It gave me new insights to things, or rather made me wonder how often we chose to be angry/unhappy/upset over certain events, only to eventually find out that the truth is not what it seemed. Perhaps, such movies are too emotionally drenching and soppy. There might be a big gap between reality and movies, or it might have been a non-fictional movie.
Whatever it is. We all have our own dramatic moments in life.
I am just wondering whether the friend who wishes me happy birthday each year, is dead or alive.
