Today must be one of my luckier days. Initially I didn't manage to get a seat on my preferred flight to Taipei (on waitlist) but eventually (always), I got a space.
Since the flight's destination is Los Angeles via Taipei (one of the chosen routes for cabin upgrades), I took a ride in SIA new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft which has been fitted with new cabins! Its a refreshing change from the usual purple (irks me) colour scheme.
The cabin is in earth colour tones (my favourite) which is so pleasing to my eyes. Now, there is more leg space and there is a headrest which looks cushy. The blanket has been changed from the hideous looking static-inducing purple "cloth", to brown (matching colour) soft fleece blanket!
The personal TV screen is now much wider and the inflight handset has been shifted from the arm rest to the front, which reduces the risk of me sitting on it. There is in-seat power supply for laptop use and I spotted a network port! I didn't bother to use my laptop 'coz there were so many options for entertainment.
Even the selection for inflight entertainment has been expanded. There seemed to be countless choices and Kris World magazine looked thicker than usual.
The dining wares has been changed as well. Those no-frill white looking wares has been upgraded to classier looking ones. I prefer the old ones 'coz they are rounded looking whereas the new ones have corners!
After having seen the "advertisements" on Kris World, I finally experienced the change.
