My room phone just rang and being on defensive mode when I am alone overseas, I did a rude "hello". It turned out to be my company secretary who makes arrangements for me when I go Taipei. She rang to inform that its a typhoon (public) holiday tomorrow and there will be no one in office, so I don't have to turn up for work!
When I stepped into Taipei this afternoon, the chauffeur informed me that typhoon is here again. First I met Sepia, now its Wipha. Did I say I was looking forward to experience it before that?
A slight improvement here. Sepia wasted my Saturday whereas Wipha gave me my first typhoon holiday!
When you expect something (typhoon holiday on the Friday that Sepia came) and it didn't happened, you feel disappointed. However, when you least expect anything (happily watching those Taiwanese variety shows and not news channels) and it happens, the feeling is good.
This is what I termed as 捡到宝.
