My second tri

Its not too encouraging after I contemplated to strap the bike to Turtle (and bring it to East Coast Park for a spin), but this idea failed. Its mainly safety factors. I was disheartened and spent my morning having heavy breakfast with CT before slowly making our way there.

The timing has improved (I think) but the whole process was not too enjoyable. Being in a team with friends and racing is fun, but cycling on a substandard bike is a sheer torture!

I could blame it on the weather (which was quite cooling actually), my team mates (who were rather fast!), the trees (for not providing enough shade), the birds (for not entertaining me at that long monotonous stretch), the marshals (for not cheering me on)... the options are countless.

I need some training and also to figure out how to supply myself with a better bike. It might not equate to better timing but settling for the last bike on rental is half the (mental) battle lost.

The consequences of a time-consuming heavy breakfast (which led to lateness) = discomfort during cycling (I kept smelling my sui kow mee while I cycled) and the bike stopper (or whatever that metal spoke is called) is loose and it nearly killed me.
