My parents and Turtle have gone on a holiday in Malacca and so, I was given the option of a back-up car. There's always the option of taking buses to work but I challenged myself to be more adaptive!
There was plenty of time to afford a bus ride this morning but also, it was good to have buffer time when its not the usual car. It had been more than 2 years since I last driven an automatic car.
I got car sickness. My last jerky ride was more than 8 years ago (with a "L" plate) - the acceleration was super slow, the braking was not smooth, the engine was loud... endless flaws.
There wasn't much to do much my left hand and left leg. The typical choice would be using the left hand to caress the front passenger's thighs (oh man!) or gesturing vulgarity hand signs (to show displeasure towards fellow road users). Since neither was an optimal choice, I was at a loss.
The pleasant surprise was, the radio had been tuned to my favourite station and my sun glasses had been placed at a spot where I usually grab them from. My Dad made effort to ease the unfamiliarity.
Come back Turtle, come back.
