The parents-children relationship

I wonder is it true that majority of the human population will never love their parents as much as they love their children?

My Dad needed to use Turtle on Friday and I agreed. However, I was so irresponsible and overslept. I groused aloud and told him I might be late for work. He frowned at me and (almost) immediately agreed that I drive to work. I could send Turtle to him after work.

Last night, he said he needed Turtle on Sunday, but I had already made plans to fetch my colleagues and myself to East Coast Park. So once again, I gave him a pathetic look. Immediately, he went to look up MRT schedule in the Bus Guide. He did suggest that I pick up Turtle from where he will park if he overslept.

This morning when I woke up, my Dad had already gone off. He didn't even wake me up to fetch him.

On a lighter note, I saw many colleagues' children today and marvelled at how each of them resemble their parents (physically). I am usually not too delighted with the idea of me resembling my parents. Now, I kinda find it amazing.
