cordoned off

Singapore is small in a way but at the same time, since many Singaporeans (gathered this statistics from friends around me) are working overseas, there are probably not many Singaporeans left on this small island. Most people we see on the streets are non-Singaporeans who are here to work or study. My own conclusion.

It seemed like we no longer meet people we know, on the streets. Be it old friends whom we don't mind bumping into or perhaps, people whom don't wish to see us.

The probability of running into anyone I know, is so low. Hopefully my comfort level is up again soon, to have the guts to hang out at certain areas (no more cordon!). At least, I successfully dipped toes tonight.
