Usually, I hear about my friends' weddings way before the actual day. Perhaps, since preparation or at least, a few months in advance. These are my closer friends and I probably know or heard about their other halves.
Just as I was stoning in front of my laptop after lunch, I received a sms from ST asking whether I will be free to attend her wedding. I nearly fell off my chair. The last time I saw ST was in June, at HS' wedding. In between, our usual communication was via sms and MSN. I have known her since our undergrad days and she has always been a dear friend to me.
Over these years, I had been wondering why ST is single (assumed so since no updates from her). I believe in fate (she might not have met the fateful one) but I still wonder why there are no guys who fall head-over-heels over this thoughtful and kind girl. Obviously, I have been kept in the dark 'coz her ROM was 2 years ago and they even bought a flat.
Its kind of a pleasant surprise, finding out that a dear friend (who had many times comforted me) has gotten married. The other amazing thing was that I always thought ST is "immune" against relationships/marriages. Her seemingly cool appearance over this aspect, contrasted her displayed love and concern for family and friends.
She laughed at what I said (kind of agreed with me). Fate brought the two of them to each other and the rest is history. Blissful.
