For no apparent reason, JJ decided to round up my family for dinner.
JJ: Shall we meet for dinner tomorrow?
Me: What's the occasion?
JJ: There's no occasion.
Me: Huh?
JJ: Well, I need to have dinner?!!
Its a good enough reason since she's so busy (with work) that she keeps missing her meals, and I frown at that.
This evening, the sky looked as though it was going to fall or come apart (as it had been for a period of time). I thought the end of this world is approaching. I drove to Lai Wah restaurant (the late chef Tham Yew Kai is Dad's friend) to meet my family and waited anxiously. I decided that if the end is here, all I wanted to do is to sit down with my family and chat over yummy dinner.
At least, I got my last wishes.
