Its worth the wait

After waking up from my nap, I wondered whether CY was going to honour his dinner appointment with me. I half guessed he was still concussed from his Halloween party at Zouk last night or maybe, he wasn't even back from partying.

Since I resolute not to sweat over small things these days, I adopted a take-it-or-leave-it attitude towards appointments with friends. Last minute changes do cause inconveniences or panic to some extend, but living my life fretting over such matters is so not worth it.

At the same time, I was hoping to savour the yummy beef noodles CY promised. However, since its a lovely Sunday night, I was in a lazy-to-travel mode. I dropped CY a sms and thought I would wait till 6pm for his reply.

He replied at 5.59pm (if he didn't, I might have continued waiting). Plans changed. We settled for a coffee shop near my place, had bak chor mee (highly recommended by me) followed by drinks at the Hong Kong cafe which I had been eyeing (to try).

A Sunday night feels complete when there's yummy food and intelligent conversations with a long-time friend.
