jinxed

I truly believed that my department was jinxed for all staff were on medical leave yesterday (We ought to be quarantined)! SM (covering China) was stressed up with the drastic weather changes (harsh cold winter versus lovely warm summer) and had fallen sick for 2 days since she was back. LY has a weak stomach that has to be handled with much care. I failed to figure out why I had fallen sick.

No doubt I took 25 days (entitlement was 28 days) medical leave in my last year with my first job, I am as healthy as I can be! I needed those leave to supplement my (annual and overtime) leave, they were solutions for my lull period in the year and I did fell sick for the longest period (I had valid reasons!).

Ever since I started with my current job, I barely took medical leave and yesterday's incident left me wondering why I still do fall sick. I had fever and I thought only kids have fevers so there was no reason for me to be running a temperature.

My mum insisted that I kept going in the rain without brollies. I am not suicidal yet, plain laziness, yes.

I was reminded that I am not invincible and still do/will fall sick.

However, I insisted that it probably has something to do with astrology 'coz I found out that all three of us are Cancerians!
