The massive wrapping project have finally been wrapped up (pun intended!). I heaved a sigh of relief (not over the monotonous chore which almost turned me into a production line worker) and felt glad that I no longer have to manage the manpower. My management skills had been challenged once again.
I am glad that I had still chosen to believe in people. There are times when suspicion seemed an inviting option and, believing looks like a silly choice. People can choose to lie and being lied to (and knowing it) is an absolutely lousy feeling.
What made my day was after leaving my judgment aside (yesterday), I received an email explanation for absence. In many cases, people don't owe you an obligation, its out of goodwill and kindness that they keep you informed (and make things convenience for you). Things I so often take for granted, are little kindness that (I overlooked and) brightened my day.
