The countdown was with Turtle, along Lornie/Adam road. Never mind that it was never a romantic road, I hold such happy memories of that area, it even gets therapeutic.
If PX and I had not insisted on showering before meeting up, we might have been in each others' arms counting down together. Alas! I don't know since when both of us became compulsive clean freaks and had to discuss the dress code for a long while before finally stepping out of our houses.
Perhaps, there is a need to draft a list of supper places, I seemed to have ran out of ideas. Perhaps, having Turtle around made it so much easier and I became spoilt for choices. Back in those days, when supper equates to any spots within walking/cycling distances from Hall.
My Christmas eve the way I wanted it, lovely and peaceful. After a full day's work, time was spent at a noisy coffee shop, eating overpriced not-so-yummy western food. When the location is not ideal, food is substandard, you count on the company to enjoy yourself.
I am happy that its Christmas, I am happy that Im and PX are back, I am happy that some friends walk in and out of my life but never away, I am amused when I look at the Holland Village crowd and wondered why I frequented that place many years back.
