Sore neck caused by uncomfortable pillows ignited my search for economical massage places.
I asked for recommendations. The highly recommended is economical but a train ride plus some walking distance away. I was too lazy to go that length just for a massage.
After asking around, I continued to search on the net. Actually, I wasn't expecting to find steals. However, anything that doesn't even have a net presence is doubtful, especially when its massage in Bangkok and I am going alone.
I managed to find one near my apartment, rang them and made an appointment.
In order to play safe, I emptied my wallet at the apartment before heading to the massage place with just BHT 500 (agreed price = BHT 300). This sounds crazy but its risk mitigation in view of potential blackmail/robbery/whatever misfortunes.
The place was clean, nice, safe and as a bonus, I discovered hor fun across the road. Its not as good as what I can find in Singapore, but hey, I am in Bangkok! If I want Singapore version of hor fun, I might as well go back Singapore.
