The trick is to reach Chatuchak by 9am, in order to beat the heat and the crowd. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we reached our destination as planned but commencement was delayed.
Having only been there once (for the past 10 years), there was difficulty navigating. The orientation was established when there was one hour left to calling it a day. Shopping has always been a low productivity activity - results from morning at Chatuchak is a casual dress and afternoon at Platinum Mall is a tee and two shorts.
Its tricky to shop at budget places in Thailand. Due to unexplainable (ruling out gluttony and sedentary lifestyle) factors, the weight gain is skyrocketing. Budget clothes in Bangkok are meant for the underweight (S), the skinny (M) and the slim (L).
My skinny and slim shopping companions were pretty upset when they couldn't fit in S size (their default size in Singapore), my plight was worse off obviously.
