Enough of an overly cold picturesque swimming pool (The reason might be its 33rd storey location), a pretty thing should be useful and vice versa. If its just beneficial for the eyes, I was set to take it to good use.
With that random belief, I jumped into the pool and swam my laps. Maybe, I shouldn't challenge its existence for a mere visual purpose.

There is a Chinese restaurant located at the end of the road (where my apartment is on). Since it came highly recommended by two Chinese colleagues (one gets her weekly Chinese food fix there), we decided to give it a try.
Verdict: The fried rice was too oily and the chicken pieces were dried and tough (overcooked). The beef was too thinly sliced and it was stir-fried with Chinese parsley (nightmare!). The toufu was the most acceptable dish (though there was prawns in it).
It still tastes rather non-Chinese to me. Maybe after being in Bangkok for a couple of years (with eventual lowered expectations and forgotten tastes), this becomes very tasty Chinese food.
