While violence has broke out in some parts of Bangkok, we still went on with our dinner gathering. The uninformed remained fearless.
Since arrangements have been made some time back and the locals assured us that its safe to go out for dinner (other than being near government buildings). There is nothing much to do at the river side but dining places are aplenty. The restaurants provide a nice scenic view, overlooking Chao Phraya river.
The time has come for a final goodbye. Jokes were exchanged over good food while we reminisced the memorable times we had at work, from strangers who speak different languages to colleagues/friends who communicate through limited English coupled with body language.
We have said goodbyes many times and each time, I wondered about how our paths might cross again.
