Balancing act

When my friends (who are ex-colleagues from my first job) and I left our first job and subsequently moved on to our second or third or... job, we probably left with the expectation hope that our working hours would be more manageable from then on.

However, the reality is far from this. Perhaps, we imagined too much. From up-to-16-hour working days and 7 days work week, we imagined that other professionals (we ruled out doctors and lawyers who worked as hard but are earning more anyway) knock off on time each week. I adjusted my expectation and hoped that perhaps, I knock off 1 to 2 hours later only on some days.

As much as stress level had gone down, the load had gone down, its still impossible not to work overtime. I could if I am fine with always having backlogs and not meeting deadlines.

I know Chin and YQ work overtime pretty often (way more often than I do). Perhaps, its not comparable 'coz we are in different lines now. I'm still trying to have time for myself.
