Deadlines

How many people actually realise that we have an "overall" deadline in our life?

I was watching "The Last Breakthrough" on television. The characters in the show were happily taking their own sweet time or denying their loved ones of their expressions for love (maybe 'coz they thought they have a whole lifetime to do whatever they wanted to do).

They do, but just that they don't know when their (or their loved ones') "whole lifetime" end. Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. So the characters go into panic attacks when they realise time is running out.

I myself, am guilty of being a procrastinator. I do try to remind myself that I don't have "forever" to finish whatever I set out to do. The deadlines are unknown to us, so it seemed like we are running against an invisible clock.

Perhaps that's why, life is a beauty of imperfections (缺陷美).
