waiting in vain

I was to have dinner with SS and arranged to meet him at the MRT station. Since I didn't want to be late, I didn't go back home to grab my handphone which I left at the dining table. Its rude to be late for appointments and SS has usually been punctual (of course, I cut some slack when meeting friends with punctuality issues).

I was on time and SS was nowhere in sight. I got a little worried 'coz its the first time we met at that station (and SS was blading before meeting me) and so I walked around the station to make sure SS wasn't hiding in a dark corner.

Half an hour had passed and I had walked from one end to the other, thrice!

Suddenly, I saw SS walking and called up to him.

It turned out that he assumed I drove, so he waited on the ground level, without realising there were 8 station exits in total. Luckily, he decided that meeting at a MRT station might means meeting at Passenger Service Centre (I even made sure there was only one PSC, just in case).

He thought something happened to me (since he thought I drove and I am usually punctual) 'coz I was uncontactable.

Imagine, endless waiting if neither of us guessed correctly the other party's course of action.
