One of the reasons why I couldn't be on Medical Leave this week (other than me being overseas) despite some major puking over the weekend, is that I am on course.
In the past, being on course means Concussion Time. Training was non-existent for second and third jobs. Learning new things is always interesting and challenging. However, its not enjoyable when the trainers are more focused on delivering their subject topics than ensuring that you have indeed understood.
It gets tougher when technicalities are involved. So, it was more of going through the motion. Plus with the cost cutting measures back then, training has to be efficient (not effective), which means it was as short as possible. Power packed, speedy lecture style courses kill off learning interests.
At least, things have taken a change and are looking way better now.
